Cross-Country Skiing

Although Downhill Skiing and Snowboarding (please link to that activity page) is our most popular winter activity, there are several opportunities for cross country skiing in the area.

• Huckelberry Creek/Suntop: Un-groomed area has plenty of areas to explore.
• Silver Springs/Mt. Rainier National Park Hwy 410: Un-groomed area in and around Silver Springs
• Campground and along Hwy 410 (closed for winter to vehicles) into Mt. Rainier National Park.

Snowshoeing in and around these areas is also a great outing. More information can be found on the Washington State Parks website.

Sno-Park Permit is required for both of these areas. Cross Country Ski rentals and service is available locally at Greenwater Skis.
